The biggest gay club in the south (outside London). The club is over twice the size of it's nearest rival and has recently installed Brighton's only full colour laser! (Sept 2002). That coupled with the amazing light show and incredible Turbosound systems makes Revenge a destination club.  It doesn't end there though Revenge is one of those well balanced gay clubs you automatically feel right in, with a great mix of people. The venue is split over two floors, both with bar and dancefloor/dj. The design is modern. Revenge is popular with all ages but especially 18-35. The club and its website have won countless awards for it's design, dj's and it's club nights including the 'Boyz Weekend Club of the Year (UK)' 2000 and 2001.

Open Sun - Thurs 10.30 - 2am. Fri - Sat 10 - 3am.

Pool
8 Marine Parade
01273 624091

Slightly bigger than Secrets, Pool is above Charles Street. It's hard to be to critical of a alternative pace to go but Pool is let down because (unfortunately) it just doesn't feel like a club. Their is little atmosphere and no matter what they've spent and we reckon quite alot, it just isn't working that well. That's not to say all is lost, a refit is promised which should give more space and maybe sort the atmosphere problem out. On the upside their Coco Latte night can be good.

Open Mon - Sat 9 - 2am. Sun 9 - 10.30pm.

Secrets is a small gay club in the heart of Kemp Town and is Brighton's oldest gay club. The venue is on two floors. Despite new arrivals it's still very popular with an older drinking crowd. Comprises of two areas both with bar and one with dancefloor.

Schwarz
Basement
31-32 Marine Parade
01273 624462
Schwarz is Brighton's only strictly dress code bar. Leather, Rubber, Uniform and Denim is the code. It's hot dark and cruisy with a pool table. Definitely not for camp queens. Dress code. No trainers. Men only.

Open Fri - Sat 10 - 2am.

  and the one nighters...
Most one nighters are in fact mixed nights. Some are predominately gay but each night can be different. Be aware that although most straights there seem to be enlightened, some aren't. Gays sometimes get problems. Here we try and highlight the ones worth a visit .
Re-Fresh @ The Tavern Club
Castle Square
Weekly girls night just up the road from Revenge. Being a girl I should give this the thumbs up but I haven't been for a while. Very heavy if you just want a fun night out but I have lots of friends who love it. I won't be unfair and rate it until I go again.

Every Friday

Sundazed @ The Honey Club
Kings Arches
Weekly very mixed night at medium sized straight club to the west of Kemp Town. The music is hard house. The venue is on two floors with bars and a dancefloor.

Every Sunday

Wild Fruit @ The Paradox
West Street
Mixed monthly one nighter to the west of Kemp Town. The venue is a straight club. This large venue comprises of two floors with several bars and one with a dancefloor. As big one nighters go it falls somewhere in the middle ground. Personally we feel the music is to hard but maybe that's what the punters want. Out of all my friends I don't know any who go for the music, most go because it's somewhere different.

Monthly, every 1st Monday
